Long before Africa International Christian Mission, Inc. was a reality, R. Zarwulugbo Liberty was born in Zarwulugbo Town, Nimba County, Liberia, West Africa to the union of Zarwulugbo and Qualienyonnon. It was 1948, the year that far-way Israel was miraculously reborn as a nation. But in Zarwulugbo’s world, raised in an animistic culture, superstition and a traditional religion reigned including much fear of evil spirits. His father held sway as a powerful tribal leader. Young Zarwulugbo was expected by his father to take over the tribal mantle. Therefore, he was allowed to sleep in the his father’s “Fetish house.”
